Moscow Metro Girl
A surprising observation recorded one evening on the Moscow Metro. I think Apple Computer should give this marvelously enthusiastic young Russian an iPod and cast her in the next iPod TV commercial! I have no idea what she was listening to on her headphones, so I substituted this Rammstein track.

Ride on Moscow Metro Escalator
You can easily get addicted to the Moscow Metro. To me, it even tops the ones from Berlin, Paris and London in several ways. (Have not been to Tokyo yet.) It has the most beautiful stations, which take you back a long way in history, its bluish colour is lovely, it's really very fast, it is noisy, tickets are extraordinaily cheap (a single ride amounting to something like 20 cent - 0,20 Euros), it is amazingly packed at rush hour, and if you get lost on your first or second day trying to change for a different line you will probably be helped by some kind Russian citizen who will actually accompany (!!) you to the other level and platform which may be far away.- That long escalator is in Petrovsko-Razumovskaya station.
