Ship Horns - Kockums SuperTyfon from MV Kriti Pearl

This summer, I have found a pair of SuperTyfons TA 150/110, I kept one and sent the other to my german friend, Dirk "Tyfon". They both came from a nice japanese built bulker, the MV Kriti Pearl. Launched in Nagasaki in 1978, she's been beached for scrapping in 2006, in Chittagong, Bengladesh. http://www.wellandcanal.ca/salties/k/kritipearl/pearl.htm Made by Izumi under Kockums licence, this horn has a cast steel body, a fiberglass bell and a bronze power chamber. For me, its pricipal interest is the frequency. With a perfect 110 Hz, it matches the second horn on the SS France, which was also a TA 150/110. In this video, the horn is sounded along with SS France's TA 150/85 and a TA 100/130 from a dutch cargo ship. The sound created is supposed to be as reallistic as SS France's voice.
