'THEIR NAMES LIVETH FOR EVERMORE' The backing track is the band of brothers main them. and there is no stupid fancy editing or advertisements ruining the film. comments are appreciated. i now have a group dedicated to remembering the men who died for us... and any other footage of the two world wars... check it out www.youtube.com/group/rememberance

The Battle of the Somme film
A film depicting the Somme battle cut and edited by myself compiled from film from the Imperial War Museum archives. The infantry at the beginning are soldiers of the 1st Battalion, The Lancashire Fusiliers. Having fixed bayonets they move into position prior to the attack on Beaumont-Hamel 1 July. The men resting in the lane are two companies and a Stokes Mortar team from 1st Battalion, the Lancashire Fusiliers forming up for the assault in a sunken lane opposite Hawthorn Ridge. Twenty minutes after this film was shot they attacked under heavy machine gun fire and only 50 of them reached the low bank beyond the lane. Thanks. Please leave comments

The Somme front
My third moviee in wich I show you a slidewhow( in sorts) of several pictures and drawings of differant wars. This time it is focused on a single battle. The battle of the Somme. You may notice that the movie has no music. There is a specific reason for that. I felt that no type of music would live up to the event. It was simply too humanly barberic. And thus I ask you to focuse primarely on my message through these pictures. Good day.

A Tribute To The Somme
The Battle of the Somme (1916) was a large battle in World War I with more than one million casualties. The Allied forces attempted to break through the German lines along a 15 mile front north of the River Somme in France. The goal was to draw German forces away from the Battle of Verdun. The song used in the clip is God Moving Over The Face Of The Waters by Moby.
