Title:
Amtrak's Empire Builder, westbound, West Burnham, Montana
Description:
The westbound Empire Builder, #7/27, wasn't so lucky today as #8/28. Somewhere to the east, problems were encountered and the train is running about 2 hours late, scheduled arrival in Havre is 2:39 P.M., actual on this day was 4:42 P.M. #7 is usually the more punctual of the two and the meet between no's 7 and 8 occurs between Malta and Havre. Oh well, can't always get what you want. Caught the train as night was falling at West Burnham, about 10 miles west of Havre on BNSF's Hi-Line Subdivision. By this time the rain had let up, but I had to stand in a big mud puddle to take the video. Power: AMTK P42DC 71, AMTK P42DC 50. 11 cars total, 1 Baggage and 10 Superliners. November 5, 2008 5:00 P.M.
