Boey Byers passes away at the age of 8 years old. She had Rhabysarcoma. She fought the good fight of faith and never gave up. In the end she did " kick cancers butt" just like she wanted to. God decided he wanted Boey to come and be with him.

Though he's only a freshman in high school, Nick Reed has quickly become the go-to kid at Akron Children's Hospital when a teen patient is newly diagnosed with cancer. It may be his positive disposition or his willingness to listen and connect with people that continues to make him an inspiration to others every day. In the spring of 2007, Nick was diagnosed with Stage IV Rhabdomyosarcoma, a soft tissue cancer causing a tumor to grow into the end of his femur, or thigh bone.
