Unlike the stylized streets of London where you can hide within the anonymity of millions of the similarly dressed, on the ridge of Merengmen, in front of 30+ people (and a video camera) there was no escape. Only Miriam spoke: "Until you arrived I had never seen white men before and I thought I would never ever see a white man in a penis gourd. With my own eyes, today I have".
