Sorry to say that the many tunnels were not covered, as the ones that we did catch were blurry, and you can't get a straight on shot from the observation car. Amtraks Hoosier State makes its station stop at Dyer IN, bound for Chicago with about two minutes to spare. At first you hear engineer Mike say "somebodys home" cause I was the only one on the platform. Then you hear the best engineer GL say to the conductor "it might be Nick". That is when you see him yell hi to me out the window when the head end passed. After I talked to him for a minute I ran down to the rear end and talked with the best conductors ever PF and KB again with only a minute ...

In this end of series, from Truckee to Reno, the Califonia Zephyr , we stick to the right side for all new scenes that cover the south slope of the Truckee with some good looking flats to start, a little more Boca, the slopes of the Martis Fire near Floriston, and a look back at the hills just before entering Reno.
