 | Navigazione a vela con forza 5 da Calvi (Corsica) a Nizza In mezzo al mare tra la Corsica e la Francia, si naviga di bolina larga/traverso con Forza 5 con un Bavaria 32. La velocità media per percorrere 100 miglia è stata di 7 nodi esatti (14 ore) Al timone c'è Manlio. Questa è una delle sue prime esperienze a vela. Sua moglie Paola è imbottita di scopolamina (cerotti anti mal di mare) e quindi è quasi addormentata. Questo è uno dei suoi pochi momenti di lucidità. La Tita non ha detto una parola per tutto il viaggio: era ammutolita per la paura. Io sono stravolto, in quanto non dormivo da due giorni, me sono ugualmente euforico, perchè una traversata così non mi capiterà mai più.
