Storm Clouds Approaching Elkton, Va 8/2/08 Vid #1
Description:
It doesn't appear so in the video, but what is approaching the Appachalachian valley town of Elkton, Va is an extremely powerful storm cell with 60mph winds. See my other videos as I was recording right in the middle of the storm, travelling on 33 west, immediately outside Elkton. The location for this specific video was an old farmhouse on Shenendoah St right outside Elkton. The residents there had just had a yard sale, and were frantically trying to pack up before the storm hit. I went over to warn them that a storm was approaching (my trusty cell phone let me know ahead of time!), and they already knew at that point. I asked if I could record from their back yard as the storm approached from the NW across the valley.
