Working Attic Fire At 2554 Parke In Lake Station Indiana
LSFD was dispatched for the second time in the same day for an attic fire at 2554 Parke, I was taking a nap for the first fire! Crews tried to hit the fire from the roof, but conditions quickly deteriorated and an interior attack was made. The fire was brought under control within 20 minutes and nobody was ijured. Jus a note, all the garbage came from the living room area, firefighters were actually had to climb over garbae to et to the fire. A couple lived in the basement area of the house....
Working House Fire With A Flashover At 4013 Jackson (Gary Indiana)
GFD toned out for a reported still alarm at 4013 Jackson, on arrival Engine 5 advised heavy smoke showing. Multiple lines were advanced to the front and rear of the house. After the fire was knocked down in the front crews attacked the fire in the rear, soon after the front flashed. Crews quickly knocked the fire down and protected all exposures. Nobody was hurt and investigators were on scene working

In the middle of the afternoon on January 4, 2009 Salisbury station 20 was dispatched to a dwelling fire in the 1700 block of Kline St. While enroute 20 command was advised of numerous calls of a working fire and a 2nd alarm was transmitted. Box Alarm Church Fire At 3900 Pennsylvania On 1-27-09 (Gary Indiana)
Just after I turned my scanner off and went to lay down I get a call from Todd Sherman asking if I was going to the box alarm church fire, well at that point how could I say no. On arrival Battalion 10 advised a working fire in a 1.5 story church. Crews from Engine 5 mad a quick exterior knock and then advanced in to knock the rest of the fire, Engine 12, Squad 2, and Truck 4 also worked the scene.
