Glory Guards

Title:
Glory Guards

Description:
Memorial Day Tribute Scenes from Winchester National Cemetary, Winchester, Virginia; and what is known in that locale as the "Low Water Bridge," which crosses the Shenandoah River in Front Royal, Virginia. As we're editing, we each see our own work one thousand times over. I did not realize until this evening, however, the evening of Memorial Day, how much symbolism I'd borrowed from the movie "Gods & Generals." Stonewall Jackson's dying words, "Let us cross over the river," are part of me, since I'm so fond of his memory and life. He had an infant daughter at the time of his death, which is so tragically and so often the case when we lose a young man to war. The baby crying at the end is a matter of personal interpretation. I rather think that is a soul welcomed into eternal life, but others may interpret the ending to my video in another way, and that is perfectly acceptable. My apologies to Kevin Macleod, who provided the music. His credit at the end of the video did not stand out as I intended. Memorial Day in the United States: http://www.usmemorialday.org/

Just a Dream by Carrie Underwood
I'm a veteran of the US Army and after watching many of the homemade videos I decided to make my own. Many of the ones I viewed were merely random picture narrations of the song. They didnt really capture in image the essence of what this song is about. So this is my personal tribute to the families of my fallen fellow soldiers and a salute to their courage.
Marine Corps War Memorial Arlington Virginia
The Marine Corps War Memorial stands as a symbol of this grateful Nation's esteem for the honored dead of the US Marine Corps. While the statue depicts one of the most famous incidents of World War II, the memorial is dedicated to all Marines who have given their lives in the defense of the United States since 1775.

Memorial video
Another memorial video that I put together. It has mostly the same pictures as the first video I posted, but it has a different song which I believe compliments the pictures well. This is in memory of all those that gave the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you and semper fidelis!
