 | Free Hugs in New York, NY- 4.19.08 This was a Free Hugs campaign done in Manhattan. I was first inspired to do the Free Hugs when I saw Juan Mann's video. I read his story and felt very inspired to do a Free Hugs with a bunch of friends. Everybody needs that hug to make them feel better =D I think that a lot of people out there just need a hug. They might have had a bad day at work or school, or their significant other for years might've just broken up with them. A hug could instantly make someone feel better, no matter how bad their current situation is. When we hugged a lot of people, I felt really happy and I hope everyone that hugged us were just as happy. I apologize for my horrible video editing skills... please forgive me. No bashing, please? Huggers were: Me (the chubby one), Yan (the pretty girl), Jackie (the guy in the blue) and Quan (the guy in the black) The music is by Sick Puppies- All the Same Places that we hugged in were Chinatown, Union Square and Midtown. In this age of social disconnectivity and lack of human contact, the effects of the Free Hugs campaign became phenomenal, and this symbol of human hope spread across the World! Across continents over millions of peoples and hundreds of cities!!! And now - finally!! Bangkok!!!!!!! This video shows how it was first started by Juan Mann, unto how it eventually spread across continents, millions of people and hundreds of cities. And one wonders why all around the world but never Bangkok? Yes - we had the coup d'etat and then we had the bombings instead. But imagine with the public morale so low, all one could do was pass around hugs! to cheer up people and to bring back the smiles.  | For a Cooler Tube There is poor ventilation and no air conditioning on London’s tube! So my friends and I decided to leave home-made foam board fans on the seats for everyone to use/fan themselves/enjoy! Some simple instructions were also designed on one side of the fan, with a velcro on the other side to ‘paste’ the fan onto the seat’s fabric. |
