Halloween hermit crab changing shells
These hermit crabs change thier shells quite often so they can grow. You must supply empty shells otherwise these crabs will grow too large for thier own shells and just die or may try attack all your snails in the hope of finding something suitable. I had a 1" crab crawl into a 5" Conch shell so the shell doesn't have to be a perfect fit.

The life of a Hermit Crab!
He loves to eat veggies but likes bananas and apples better! You will see him using his little pincher to eat with. Then you will see him change into a different shell. That was the first time I ever got to see it! So when it happened I wasn't paying attention and the camera was a little off! lol Then at the end you will see him eating again! In some places it's blurry, my camera wouldn't keep it in focused! Please take a moment to rate and comment.

Hermit Crab Shell Change
The "kindergarten4thearts" has chosen some of Florida's own "Hermies" as our class pets. We LOVE hermit crabs! Here's a video of one of our females (Shelby) changing her shell. She needs a shell to protect her soft abdomen and "hermie hiney" as the kids call it!
