![]() | Czardas -- Vittorio Monti X Contrast Trio The Italian Vittorio Monti scored the most important success of his professional life with this Hungarian-style Czardas (originally scored for either violin or mandolin and piano). It was soon arranged for all kinds of ensembles and solo instruments - the violin, saxophone and piano being the latest! Few people remember Monti today, but everyone will be familiar with his music here - making him a true immortal. Czardas (Hungarian Csarda - 'tavern') is a dance from the 19th century in duple time. It's slow (lassu) sections alternating with its fast (friss) ones. Contrast Group Biography Contrast is a trio with a rare instrumental combination. Its founding members, Kitty Cheung, violin; Timothy Sun, Saxophone; Jenny Ng, piano are graduated Masters students at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, United Kingdom. They came together in 2007 with the same vision of creating new sounds and giving the audience a new and exciting experience through their performances. Contrast often commission new works by many young composers such as Henry Ip, Sunny Lu, Florence Chan, Kim-kuok Ip and Ruth Chan . The group not only aims to expand their classical repertoire by premiering new pieces, members also do a lot of rearrangements and transciptions to make their programme more exciting. |

I have my reverb and delay pedals on, and I am recording through my new mic and my new firewire recording system. Enjoy. |
