Melvin And The All Stars Biography This anointed, breathtaking, and spirit filled gospel group epitomize the spiritual movement sweeping the nation today. Melvin and The Allstars are on a mission. Their current CD "A New Season" is a testament to their ministry. "A New Season" evokes a strong sense of spiritual awaking that stirs the soul. The group is comprised of brothers and sisters from the small town of Baxley, Ga. which is located 72 miles west of Savannah, Ga. Their parents Pastor Sarah Ruth and Chairman Deacon Melvin Mims formed the group when they were children. With 32 years under their belt they are still going strong and making a difference in the lives of many as they spread the word of God through music. Over the years, they have performed with great artists such as Swanee Quintet, Gospel Keynotes, The McDonald Sisters, Doc McKenzie, True Believers, the Fantastic William Brothers, and many more. Their ultimate dream is to tap into the music industry all over the world and reach out to the sick, lost and shut in; proclaiming that Jesus has risen. The group declares that "If one soul is to be saved just by listen to our music then we have fulfilled what the Lord gifted us to do".
