His hero is Yaz, the Hall of Fame hitter who did it his way! ;D In 1947, at age 22, B.B. King hitch-hiked from Mississippi to Nashville, Tenn. to embark on a music career. Imagine him by the roadside, not knowing what lay ahead. That's a slice of Americana, baby.
