Midge Ure - Dear God (1988)
In stereo: musicvideo of Dear God by Midge Ure, released in 1988. From the album "Answers to nothing". Dear God, is there somebody out there? Is there someone to hear my prayer? I'm a simple man with simple words to say Is there some point in asking? Asking for more only got us where we are today Lost and alone and afraid Give me, love for the lonely Give me, food for the hungry Give me, peace in a restless world Give me, hope for the children Give me, a worldwide religion Give me, peace in a restless world Dear God, can you hear me crying? A whole world crying Looking for something to say We had it all and we threw it all away Is there somebody watching Somebody watching over the mess that we've made We're lost and alone and afraid Give me, love for the lonely Give me, food for the hungry Give me, peace in a restless world Give me, hope for the children Give me, a worldwide religion Give me, peace in a restless world And we need to know there's something good Though all our years of solitude go on and on and on... Give me, love for the lonely Give me, food for the hungry Give me, peace in a restless world Give me, hope for the children Give me, a worldwide religion Give me, peace in a restless world Dear god, is there somebody out there, Is there someone to hear my prayer
Midge Ure - No Regrets
In stereo: Midge Ure - No Regrets. Released in June 1982 as a first solo single, a cover of the classic Walker Brothers song. Later Midge worked again with Ultravox to release the album "Quartet". I noticed this video was not yet or no longer on YouTube, so I decided to upload my version. This is the original music video, but with a new stereo audio track. The original video had a very poor quality mono audio track...
If I Was - Midge Ure
Midge Ure, ex-Ultravox. Really nice song.
Midge Ure - Cold, Cold Heart
Great Video, Great Song...
BIG COUNTRY AND KATE BUSH THE SEER
big country kate bush ...the greatest hits of big country and the skids Long ago I heard a tale I never will forget The time was in the telling on the bank the scene was set The sky was rolling blindly on, the daylight had not gone She washed her hair among the stones and saw what was to come All this will pass There will be blood among the corn and heroes in the hills But there is more to come my boy before you've had your fill Men will come and rape the soil as though it were their own And they will bathe their feet in oil as I have bathed my own All this will pass All things must come Just as I tell you here Stones will stand together as if searching for the stars And all come crashing down again before they reach too far She turned to face the setting sun, I turned to walk away But then she called my name again and beckoned me to stay All this will pass All things must come Just as I tell you here She told me of the famous sons who write their names in peace Yet be cut down before the time has come for our release Just as I tell you here Even now I wait for the coming day Even now she waits in the dawn For the tales she tells, for the gifts that she will sell For the sight she knows, for a vision that still grows With the dream in her eyes no one's seen I listened for so long that day that I can hardly tell If what she said was heaven sent or brought to bear in hell That men of hope would stand alone and still be cast a lie Just as Romans cast them on the day they were to die All this will pass All things must come Just as I tell you here Even now I wait for the coming day Even now she waits in the dawn For the tales she tells, for the gifts that she will sell For the sight she knows, for a vision that still grows With the dream in her eyes no one's seen There is much more of what she told Much better left alone For who are we to question her Who stands among the stones
Midge Ure Come the day
I really like this song, and I think alot of other fans of Class of 1999 do to. So I recorded this right off the TV for you guys. It's about 86% percent of the song. The end bit got cut off because my HD on my recorder got full. Sorry bout that.
Midge Ure - Dear God (Live 1988)
In stereo: very rare video of Midge Ure, performing "Dear God", live at the Nelson Mandela Concert, June 11, 1988. Location: Wembley Stadium. Yes, it's Phil Collins on drums... Enjoy.
