This is a clip of East Carry Road roughly along the path Arnold took from the Kennebec River to the Dead River during his invasion of Canada in the fall of 1775. I believe it's closer to the west carry pond than the east, but I'm not sure. I stopped my bike to wait for a female moose to leave the road, which took a few minutes. I was getting a little nervous because the sun was going down fast and this old dirt timber road was getting worse. I was also a little apprehensive about running into one of those Maine Werewolf mutant-dogs that had been discovered just a few weeks earlier...

Benedict Arnold - Quebec
Quebec is a beautiful city, friendly people, great food. I didn't see any plaques or monuments with Arnold's name in or out of the old walled part of Quebec City (the only walled city in North America) but it's a big place and I could have easily missed 'em if there were any. I've never seen a map of where the american encampments were outside the city or where any skirmishes took place so I didn't know where to look for Arnold stuff. There are lots of historic markers and statues all over ...

Benedict Arnold - Skenesborough Shipyard
This was the location of the shipyard that built the small fleet Arnold commanded at the battle of Valcour Island. The town is now called Whitehall (NY) and is considered the birthplace of the US navy.
