Description:
This is a clip of East Carry Road roughly along the path Arnold took from the Kennebec River to the Dead River during his invasion of Canada in the fall of 1775. I believe it's closer to the west carry pond than the east, but I'm not sure. I stopped my bike to wait for a female moose to leave the road, which took a few minutes. I was getting a little nervous because the sun was going down fast and this old dirt timber road was getting worse. I was also a little apprehensive about running into one of those Maine Werewolf mutant-dogs that had been discovered just a few weeks earlier...

 | Benedict Arnold - Quebec Quebec is a beautiful city, friendly people, great food. I didn't see any plaques or monuments with Arnold's name in or out of the old walled part of Quebec City (the only walled city in North America) but it's a big place and I could have easily missed 'em if there were any. I've never seen a map of where the american encampments were outside the city or where any skirmishes took place so I didn't know where to look for Arnold stuff. There are lots of historic markers and statues all over ... |
