Title:
Hydrogen Project III a coil amd tube design

Description:
I came up with this design after the one I wanted to make became impractical. I thought this design was pretty neat, and it worked, but i don't think its all that productive. But it was worthwhile as far as a learning project. I sanded the tube and the wire somewhat. A lot of times the metal has a coating of sealant or grunge on it. I'm pretty sure that the brownish stuff that appears in the water is the oxidization of the copper wires. After this one, I went ahead and built a wall-plate design like sirHoax's. But my camera ran out of batterys, so I didn't make a video for that one. But maybe I'll reenact that one tomarrow....when i can be outside with a car battery and much higher amperage.

hydrogen output from the pulse circuit
Video from: http://www.livevideo.com/byte312 The output of the transformer runs through a neon light bulb in series with a center tap on the larger coil. One end of the coil connects back to the other side of the secondary winding of the transformer. The transformer ratio is 14 to 1. The more... power source is a car battery and the result is niether pure DC or AC. It is a AC modulated DC carrier with both forward and reverse voltage spikes. The reverse spikes repel the gas bubbles on the plates thus freeing the surface of the plates to pass current. The other objective is to match the resonant frequency of the solution. As Telsa showed us, anything can conduct electricity if you find the resonant frequency. It is all really very simple. First we generate half wave, square wave pulses at 12vdc. We exchange current for voltage in a transformer. Then we pass DC current through a air wound coil and hit the center of the coil with full wave AC at hundereds or thousands of volts. The neon bulb acts like a spark gap and is a good indicator light as well. While the results are not as dramatic as many people would like, every little bit helps. I still have many more experiments to try before I finalize the design.

HHO Production - Avicron Coil 1.2
I've added a secondary coil above the first . This one is made from different material . The original bottom coil is made from hose clamps i got at Lowes , they are stainless steel made in china . The upper coil is made from clamps purhased at Home Depot labeled high nickel corrosion resistant steel made in USA. It was a little softer and easier to work with but there was a longer perforated end to be cut away leaving a shorter solid strip and smaller coil resulting. My power supply for this test is an old AT pc power supply . I blew a cap in my ATX that i used on the first 2 videos so until i find another one im using this. It has no 3.3v at all and is kinda tempermental on the 12v as you will see. The first test is at 12v with no electrolyte at all . Then it cuts to the second run with a dime size pinch of baking soda added. It really goes nuts with the electrolyte and i can only add a tiny amount or things get hot fast . At the end of the video you see me zoom back in , i was going to hit it again for a close up of the bubble explosion but the power supply wouldnt switch back on. It reacted like a dead short when it warmed up a bit . All my wires got hot too =p Also you see the water turns red very quickly and doesnt seem to be decreasing really even though ive run it quite a bit. Notice the dramatic vortex that the bubbles make to pass through the upper coil . They all flow to the center and up forming quite a convection movement.
Hydrogen Electrolysis - 1 Part 1
http://www.hho4free.com MUST READ THIS - Electrolysis of water into Hydrogen & Oxygen. Increase your MPG via the unused power of your Alternator, while you drive. These are the first hydrogen cells we made last year. We started with the Joe Cell concept and modified it for Electrolysis. The 4 parts of this video show you the inner works of the gas production. You will see, from a birds eye view, the gas being produced in a solid stainless steel container; one that can be put under a strong vaccum. At startup, notice that the gas is being produced in the center of the cell. It then starts producing in adjacent tubes as current moves towards the positive outer tube. For this to happen, your tubes need to be properly aligned North and South. That is, the tops of each tube must be magnetic North, and the bottoms must be magnetic South (the tubes contain "some" magnetism. Think of the tube as a magnet. If your alignment is off on a tube, there will be little to no gas production around that tube. You can test your tubes for N & S by putting a needle on a thread and magnetizing the tip of the needle (N or S). Hang the thread over the tube, just barely clearing the surface, and rock each end of the tube under the needle. It will start to swing as you rock. One end will swing more than the other. Mark them accordingly and put your tubes together with the like marks facing the same direction. It works. Part 2 shows more hydrogen production, and several different size cells, with different tube configurations. Please read the important details I added to the right of each video. Later, in Part 3, you will see gas being produced in a glass jar. Pay attention to what influence the magnetic field has on the hydrogen bubbles. Part 4 is about exploding a balloon filled with HHO gas (I love that part). I would like to point out that if you build your cell out of stainless steel, as we did, it will withstand Flashback explosions. Plastic can blow up. I would also like to point out another advantage of an all stainless steel unit. Electrolysis causes heat. The longer the cell runs, the hotter it gets, the hotter it gets, the more current you're going to get. Your plastic and rubber units will get soft and may explode. If your cell is under a vaccume, it will implode. However, your steel unit will take a lickin and keep on tickin. Be smart, be safe, use metal containers. If you want to control your current (amperage), and you do want to control it, use a DC volt PWM to regulate it. You can find 15 amp continuous to 80 amp continuous PWM's on ebay. They will pulse your DC voltage to the cell. The pulsing will also help regulate the heat. You want heat, but you need to control it. The PWM will help you do that. PWM From a Cordless Drill
Here is how I extracted and demonstrated a PWM (Pulse Width Modulator) from a cordless, or battery, drill. It was pretty easy. I used an old Craftsman drill that the battery had worn out on and the charger no longer works. So I felt pretty safe and OK about tearing it apart. Besides, I love tearing stuff apart. Towards the end of the video I do a couple of little tests. But I can't call them anywhere near conclusive, because it didn't bother taking MPM measurements. But basically, it looks like the PWM does reduce the amp draw. It's not like I am inventing the wheel here. But I always like to take in other peoples ideas and see them for myself....and maybe make improvements once I understand the functions.
