Busy night for area city councils - "Lake Minnetonka" TV news July 21

It's a busy night on the civic calendar tonight with several city council meetings taking place. The Long Lake City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m., the Wayzata City Council will meet at 7 p.m. and the Hopkins City Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. All meetings will be held at their respective city halls. Among the highlights of those meeting agendas - Long Lake, Fire Chief James Van Eyll will deliver the second quarter fire report. In Wayzata the council will consider an out-of-state travel policy for elected officials. And in Hopkins the council will receive the 2008 comprehensive financial report and the 2009 second quarter financial report. Is it Munich or is it Plymouth? The Fridley German Band dropped by the Hilde Performance Center in Plymouth recently for a night of polkas, waltzes and schottisches, part of the city's summer music concert series. Old-timers enjoyed dancing and youngsters created fun of their own. The concert series continues through August. A complete schedule is available on the city's website www2.ci.plymouth.mn.us.
