October 17 2007 chase vid
Description:
This is the footage I took while on a SPONTANEOUS storm chase after work yesterday. This is the first chase video I'm putting up here on youtube, because it the first where my cam actually got some decent footage. Normally I chase solo (as i was last night) and that makes it hard for me to film since I'm driving. Also I have a cheap camera right now, only 4x zoom, and low res. My good video camera died finally and this cheap one sucks in low light conditions thus why none of my chase vids are up here yet. I will have a partner with me from time to time now, and he or she will film for me when either one goes. I did get some decent flood footage a while back with one of the partners with me that I may post here soon. One last note, The narration in this sucks because I was concentrating on what the storm was doing, and driving. I say I'm heading north on MO 13, but its actually 160 as I changed my mind last second. Also when I say I'm going into ash grove, I notice a change in the storm and turn on business 160 into Willard at the last second as well. So bare with me on that because As this hit right after work I had no chase plan so some of what I say or do is spontaneous and make little sence. Other than that enjoy! ^.^
