 | Paltalk News - Hope, Frustration At The UN Officials and diplomats at the United Nations expressed both hope and frustration about the world body's abilities to remedy some of the wrongs that exist around the world during a series of interviews on News Talk Online on Paltalk.com. Jared Kotler, spokesman for the UN's political affairs department, said the United Nations is still actively engaged in trying, for example, to broker a peace in the Middle East. But as daunting as that remains, he says there were successes in Iraq. Where the UN has helped oversee two successful national elections. Katherine Miller of the UN Foundation, which, along with Talker's Magazine, was a sponsor of the Talk Radio Day at the UN, spoke about successful efforts in getting mosquito netting to at risk children in Africa.
