Steve Goodman-Born to be wild/Teen angel/Tell Laura I love her/Strange things happen in this world

Title:
Steve Goodman-Born to be wild/Teen angel/Tell Laura I love her/Strange things happen in this world

Description:
Steve Goodman from the live CD of the album No Big Surprise. An incredible improvised medley. He starts off asking for a cowboy hat, as he usually does when he's about to sing his and John Prine's song "You never even call me by my name". Unfortunately (or rather, fortunately) no one has a cowboy hat, but someone has a motorcycle helmet. Feeling that he should play more vehicular songs he starts with Born to be wild, and then goes on from there associating wildly. Just listen, a phenomenal piece of music. Sorry about the video, I love Paint!

Bonnie Koloc - Jazz Man - 1971
Those of us who were children of the 70's will likely remember Bonnie Koloc, a fixture of the early 70's music scene in Chicago. For some unknown reason none of Bonnie's early lp's have ever been reissued on CD. Simply criminal. So for those of us who miss the sound of her voice from days by gone, here is a track from Bonnie's 1971 recording After All This Time, entitled "Jazz Man". Enjoy!
Election Year Rag
Political satire tune by Steve Goodman, written for 1972 election but the humor is still relevant today. I had a little fun adding images to go along with the lyrics.
Blue Umbrella - John Prine / Steve Goodman cover
Thanks to alert Youtuber isu3444 for pointing out that this song was written by John Prine, and not Steve Goodman. "Blue Umbrella" appears on Prine's 1973 "Sweet Revenge" album, while Goodman featured it two years later on his "Jessie's Jig and Other Favorites" album. This is my rendition of the acoustic version of the song, from "John Prine Live." BTW, I didn't notice that the volume-lowering graphic had been imported from my video camera until I'd uploaded this, and deleted the original ...
Steve Goodman - You better get it while you can (the ballad of Carl Martin)
From the 1980 album Santa Ana Winds comes the song "You better get it while you can" or "The ballad of Carl Martin". One of Steve's finest, accompanied by the amazing mandolin player Jethro Burns. And I apologize for the three minute silence in the end of the video, it was not intended.

Steve Goodman -- Vegematic [Live]
A humorous song concerning infomercials, written and performed live by Steve Goodman. Although he passed away due to leukemia at 36 years old, Goodman wrote many great songs. Two of his most famous are City of New Orleans and You Never Even Call Me By My Name (The Perfect Country Song), made famous by Arlo Guthrie and David Allan Coe respectively.
