 | Heading for shore - Old Orchard Beach, ME Eliza and I paddled nearly 5 miles (according to my GPS unit) - starting from a boat launch at Camp Ellis (a few miles south of Old Orchard Beach, Maine). From the calm shelter of the harbor, we made our way to Wood Island, picnicked and then headed across the bay - to the beach just south of Life Guard Station #5 and The Waves motel. Took a few hours, but it was a trip worthy of remembering for years to come! Reaching the beachhead was a TRIP! |
