A day of widespread severe weather resulted in numerous tornado sightings and two confirmed tornados, one F1 and another, the one I saw a F2. My chase began around 12:45 pm, I decided to stay between two areas of interest costing me an upclose view of the tornado but it was so unexpected. I have no video of it because I saw it at the the last bit of life around the time it was hitting a house. I snapped a shot of the tornado but couldn't get any video in time. July 4, 2009 - Severe Thunderstorm Near Beiseker, AB
Finally had my first chase of the season yesterday. Recently there has been a ton of thunderstorm activity here in Alberta but due to work commitments I haven't been able to chase. I intercepted this storm about 15 km east of Beiseker, Ab which is about 1/2 hour NE of Calgary. This storm had the makings of a monster. Hail, wind, and a massive amount of moisture. If i had the internet with me (down at the moment) I might have chased about a 1/2 hour north of this storm were a tornado touched ...

On our way to Walmart during a Tornado Warning isn't very smart, drove from my house to Rubyville School, got caught in the tornado, rain is to hard so you cant see it but you can hear it, when were pulled over and the radio is switching songs, it sounds like a big train.
June 24 2009 Alpena SD
This is a supercell we chased. This video clip was shot in Alpena, SD. Robert Brown in the background is heard telling a car to go back because the storms rotation was getting tight and wanted to drop a tornado just before the sirens went off. I'm still editing more of the video and adding video from the live feed so stay tuned for more. This was a beautiful storm that produced hail up to 3" and mutiple funnels and Tornados
Thunderstorm in Montreal - June 25th, 2009 (Part 2)
This is part II of a video involving the same strong thunderstorm that was affecting parts of central and Eastern Montreal. Got some pretty cool cloud to ground strikes at about a 50 second to 1 minute interval. The storm was heading to the Northeast (at this viewing angle, I am facing Northeast), which caused the storm to skim us in the West Island. However, as it grazed our area, we received a brief heavy downpour of rain, some fairly gusty winds (about 60 km/h) and, of course, thunder and ...
