This is the very first time taking my new Hobie Adventure Island along the coast of Santa Barbara, CA during a calm day.

Sailrocket goes off!
April 20th at Walvis Bay Speed-spot. Run 32 for Sailrocket at this amazing location. Wind is gusting over 23 knots but averaging around 20-21. Steering was done using the large supposedly 'low-speed' rudder connected to foot stirrups. It's a big ol' 'spade' for over 40 knots and proved to be too sensitive. Small course changes were difficult so we stayed away from the shore and hence... in the rough stuff. I stopped the run early by oversheeting the wing to stall it and bearing away ...
