![]() | bridgeport cnc knee z axis My Bridgeport conversion with the KNEE as the z axis. There is 2 250lb gas springs under the knee for counterbalance, a 1.5" .2 pitch ballscrew with a custom pedestal/ballnut mount and new bevel gears (now spiral bevel gears). This is peck drilling (G83) a 5" long hole at 12"min feed and 120"min rapid and .2" feed per peck. Who said the knee is not good for the z axis???? I've drilled 3000" worth of holes this week. Thats miles more inches of traveling because it was only .2" pecking. Looks ... |
