Another day and another 2pm train. Two in two days? It's almost like the IORY has a schedule. This time it's my day off and my wife went with my son and I to chase the train.
I and O Second Ave Mason
Indiana & 0hio GP40 4036 creeps along the siding at milepost 10 in Mason, Ohio and crosses Western Ave., Second Avenue, and finally W. Main St. with 4 empties in tow. This is a 10 mph stretch of former Pennsylvania railroad between Cincinnati and Lytle, Ohio. Only Lebanon to Mason, and Norwood to Brecon remain active to semi active. Lebanon to Hageman is scenic railroad only, (LM&M) at this time. I&O reachs this stretch of railroad from Middletown, Ohio and connects at the Hageman Jct....
Muncie Railfanning
Railfanning in Muncie, Indiana at Walnut Street and the South Muncie Norfolk Southern Wye. Three Lines come through here: The CSX Indianapolis line between Bellfountaine, Ohio and Indianapolis, Indiana, The Norfolk Southern New Castle district between Ft Wayne, IN. and Cincinatti, OH. Finally, the NS Frankfort district. The first train has a surprise, but I don't know if I got the model right.
