A May climb of the West Buttress route on Denali. Out of 20 days on the mountain, weather was bad for about 15. A huge queue of climbers accumulated at 14,200 and everybody went up the fixed ropes the first sunny day. Weather closed in with climbers strung out all along the West Buttress. We excavated a snow cave right into the ridge that accommodated all seven of us. Eventually, we had a bluebird day for a fantastic summit. Our team name: Nice Marmot (we're 'Big Lebowski' fans)
