BNSF 514 Local meets BNSF 960 West in Prairie du Chien 10-19-09
I wasnt planning on railfanning this day but I am glad I caught this. The East Local is seen powering up after working north of town. BNSF 514 and 526 lead the local this week. Just as that passes the crossing, BNSF 960 West High Priority races by heading westbound. Not the brightest light to film under but I thought it turned out OK.

Bury Me Not on the Lone Prairie

Great Western Trail & Prairie Path
This is the spot in Villa Park where the Great Western Trail hooks up with the Prairie Path. Just west of Villa Ave and south of St Charles Rd, one block north of the Prairie path. Also we have the Chicago Great Western Railway freight station.
BNSF 7675 West meets BNSF 501 East near Prairie du Chien
A Hot Z heads west north of Prairie du Chien as the Local starts to move ahead to Crawford and eventually behind the house(depot). The west siding is occupied by MOW on flatcars and BNSF 73? which was set out for mechanical problems.
BNSF 8982 West Iron Ore in Prairie du Chien 8-26-09
A nice surprise as BNSF 8982, 9477, and 9876 lead an Iron Ore train west most likely to Superior. My guess is this train is empty as no DPU is seen and no loads were visible from where I was. These iron ore trains run loaded from Superior to either Madison IL or Birmingham AL.
East Stacker meets West Z-Train in Prairie du Chien 7-20-09
I did not have time to relocate myself to the other side but I didnt miss much. BNSF 5375 east meets BNSF 5377 west.
BNSF 4655 West Hot Z in Prairie du Chien 9-9-09
Another hot shot heads through Prairie on the way to the west coast. BNSF SD75M 8266 is also seen in the consist.
