Your stay in Montreal includes a morning city tour, to familiarise yourself with this wonderful city that combines the best of the North American lifestyle with the culture and excitement of France, perfectly displayed in the beautifully preserved Old Town. The following morning brings an early start as we board our coach for the journey to Quebec City. Located in one of the most beautiful natural settings, the Old City is the only fortified city in North America and boasts UNESCO World Heritage Site status. We return to Montreal in the evening and the next day, we head to the striking capital of Ottawa, before moving on to Toronto in the afternoon. Whilst here, we enjoy a morning sight seeing tour, introducing you to the stark contrasts throughout this vibrant, cosmopolitan city. Should you wish a trip to the dizzying heights of the CN tower which pierces the skyline at an impressive 1,815 ft, you will be provided with an exhilarating experience before we depart to Niagara Falls and our hotel for the next two nights. Spend the sixth day of our tour enjoying Niagara Falls attractive and elegantly laid out parkland that face the American and Horseshoe Falls. Whilst here, dont miss the opportunity to experience their awesome power, which can be viewed from a promenade or specially channelled tunnels behind the falls. Or why not take a trip on the Maid of the Mist boat which takes you right up close to this breathtaking natural wonder. After a relaxing evening at the falls, we transfer to Toronto airport for our flight across central Canada to Calgary, in the province of Alberta. On arrival our coach is waiting to take us to picturesque Banff, set in the heart of the Rocky Mountains and our base for the next three nights. Banff has a reputation as one of the loveliest small towns in North America and our tour of the surrounding area will confirm this. We visit Moraine Lake and marvel at the serenity of Lake Louise, with its magical views of the Victoria Glacier before allowing you time to explore at leisure. Maybe you will choose to take a gondola ride to the top of the 7,500ft Sulphur Mountain to get a splendid far-reaching view of the majestic scenery. On the tenth day of our tour, we head northwards through the Rockies to Jasper, stopping en route at the ethereal Columbia Icefield, where an optional ride by Ice Explorer on the Athabasca Glacier can be experienced. The next day brings an unforgettable sightseeing journey, beginning with a visit to the limestone gorge of Maligne Canyon, before continuing along the shores of Medicine Lake and Maligne River to one of the most photographed spots in the world, the breathtaking Maligne Lake. We return to our Jasper hotel in the afternoon and enjoy an included dinner this evening. We depart Jasper to begin a spectacular drive through areas of wild and rugged beauty, interspersed with aquamarine lakes, passing Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, to our hotel in Kamloops, for an overnight stop. On day thirteen of our comprehensive tour, we arrive at our final destination of Vancouver. Being one of the worlds most sophisticated cities, Vancouver has the advantage of a spectacular setting: in the foreground the encircling Pacific Ocean and as a backdrop, the grandeur of Grouse Mountain. After a brief orientation tour, youre free to discover the wonders of the city for yourself and an optional excursion to Grouse Mountain and Capilano Suspension Bridge is a perfect end to a truly memorable holiday. After a final day at leisure with opportunities for some last-minute shopping, we transfer to Vancouver Airport for our return flight direct to London Heathrow, where, our staff will greet and transfer you to Titan transport for your journey home.
