Here we are on New Jersey Transit Train 5746, the Raritan Valley Line local to Newark-Penn Station, as we travel between Bound Brook and Dunellen. Between these two stations, there are two grade crossings; Cedar Avenue and Mountain Avenue. We start blowing due to track workers, and then blow for the grade crossings. I am not in the cab, but the engineer had left the door open, so it was fair game. We are in Comet V cab car 6059, which has a great sounding horn. So You like Train Horns?
With a crossing every one block, this CSX freight train really lets the horn have it. It's traveling about 30 miles per hour. I think the best part is at the end of the video. The train is just short enough to let you pick back up on the horn in the distance.

New Jersey Transit Train 5447, the Raritan Valley Line local train to Raritan, has a good consist and makes good noise as it arrives in Union. I walked through the comet 2 cars to the front where the comet 5 car car strangely had an open driver's door. I got to hear the communications the whole way to newark!
Metro North 855 pulls into Peekskill and ties down
Metro North Train 855, the express to Peekskill, pulls into Peekskill on Track 4 and ties down as the rest of the passengers get off. This is the one train in the evening that finishes up in Peekskill, and deadheads back south to Croton. Today's consist is Genesis P32ACDM 223 and 7 Shoreline II coaches. NJT Train Ride with K5LA Horn Blasts
Riding onboard NJT Northeast Corridor Line Train #3857 in Comet V Cab Car #6051 on the express track at 5:22 pm in the afternoon on a clear day while enroute to Princeton Junction Station with awesome blasts on the K5LA horn from the engineer due to Amtrak MOW Equipment on Track 4 which was music to my ears!! I was heading to Hamilton Station from New Brunswick.
