Title:
Muslim-Americans mark Night of Power, Laylat al-Qadr, in metro Detroit mosque in Sept. 2008

Description:
American Muslims hold special prayers for the Night of Power, Laylat al-Qadr, inside the Unity Center mosque in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, on Sept. 26-27, Friday-Saturday, 2008. They beseech God, Allah, for forgiveness and conduct special prayers throughout the night, on which Muslims believe the beginning of the holy Quran was revealed to Prophet Mohammed through angel Gabriel. In this video, an American Muslim asks God for forgiveness. In the photographs, people pray and later gather for a community breakfast before dawn. Night of Power ceremonies, known as Eyhaa, or revival, are increasingly popular in metro Detroit, where the Muslim community has grown in recent years. Some stay inside the mosque for the last 10 days of Ramadan, a retreat known as itikaf. They sleep inside the masjid for the 10 days and depend on food from others during that time. ~ SURAT ALI-'IMRAAN WARNING YOU MAY CRY! WOW! INCREDIBLE! ~
Translation: 166. And what you suffered (of the disaster) on the day (of the battle of Uhud when) the two armies met, was by the leave of Allâh, in order that He might test the believers. 167. And that He might test the hypocrites, it was said to them: "Come, fight in the Way of Allâh or (at least) defend yourselves." They said: "Had we known that fighting will take place, we would certainly have followed you." They were that day, nearer to disbelief than to Faith, saying with their mouths ...
