***A Tour Of Detroit's Ghetto: Parts 1-3 For Sale On DVD Now!*** Scroll to the bottom for more info!____ Check out my Detroit ghetto blog here: http://detroitsghetto.blogspot.com/ This is my 3rd video featuring Detroit's ghetto. It was filmed entirely in December 2007, last time I visited Detroit. I am originally from Detroit (suburbs) by the way, I lived there my whole life until I moved to Florida in 2004... so don't be the jackass that says I made a video of Detroit and don't know anything about the city. Like ANY city, Detroit has it's good and bad areas... these are the bad areas. THAT IS THE POINT OF THIS VIDEO, to show the worst ares of Detroit. Every city has rundown neighborhoods, but no city I have ever seen or heard of in the US is as bad as Detroit, at least when it comes to the PHYSICAL DETERIORATION of the buildings and infrastructure that make up the CITY of Detroit. I HAVE NO INTENTIONS TO FILM NICE AREAS OF DETROIT, so please, keep those comments to yourself. If you think that would actually make an interesting video, THEN DO IT YOURSELF! To all the people who keep saying "this ain't da ghetto, there ain't no people", there are people living RIGHT NEXT DOOR to these homes, and in some cases, IN THEM. Just because you don't see many people walking around, doesn't mean that they aren't there. It simply means I had enough common sense not to point a camera at people who already don't like me being there, let alone filming them! These sites have some pretty good pics/info on the ruins of Detroit: http://www.forgottendetroit.com/ http://www.detroitruins.net/ http://www.detroityes.com/home.htm http://forgottenmichigan.com/ A few notes on the video, because I KNOW they will be asked: In the middle section of the video, where I showed the 2 boats left in the water and surrounded by ice, the cross streets were Alter Rd & Korte St, and Alter Rd & Klenk St. Please note that Alter Rd is the dividing street between Detroit and Grosse Pointe Park(correct me if I am wrong on the above information), and the canal that these boats were left in were on the DETROIT SIDE of Alter Rd. The Grosse Pointe Park side of Alter Rd actually has no access to this canal. The large building we entered next to the Michigan Central Train Station is the Detroit Public School Warehouse. On the second floor, those mounds you saw piled up everywhere were old books/paperwork. On the third floor, yes, THOSE ARE TREES growing out of the concrete!! I believe there used to be a glass atrium that had broken allowing dirt, dust, snow, ice, rain, etc. to enter the building, and somehow over the years, trees began to grow on the concrete! *BUY MY DETROIT GHETTO VIDEOS ON DVD!!* Many users on YouTube have asked me if they can purchase a copy of one or more of my Detroit Ghetto videos... well, now you can. For $15 you can purchase a DVD containing parts 1 though 3 of my "A Tour Of Detroit's Ghetto" videos, which also comes with photo slideshows of the pictures taken while filming parts 2 and 3. The $15 includes shipping to your door step, providing you live in the lower 48 states. Contact me for a shipping quote if you would like to purchase a copy and live elsewhere. I am accepting paypal only at this time. My paypal address is camosilver311@yahoo.com Thank you everyone for supporting my videos!
