The Georgia Northeastern railroad hosted a special charity passenger train trip to raise money for the Cherokee County Child Advocacy Council. This trip took place on April 18, 2009. I was there to film the train making its way from Woodstock, Georgia to Canton, Georgia. The train made a total of five runs back and forth that day. Yet another cold October day in Kansas, but that didn't stop me from going out and railfanning, and here's what I caught. Train 1: UP sd70ace #8336 Leads an Eastbound mixed intermodel towards Herington. Train 2: Can you say ESPEE! CSX 419 & 411 with loaded coal train V605 stalls coming off the Salsbury Branch just outside Meyersdale, PA. The engineer informs the dispatcher that they have no sand. Watch closely as these two brutt AC4400 actually lunge, and bounce up and down trying to get traction coming up the steep grade of the branch to the mainline.
