Action and Adventure in the World of Fallout 3 - Showcase of Broken Steel Gameplay (1 of 2)
Description:
►►►►► http://alturl.com/xvub In this DLC pack, the player will join the ranks of the Brotherhood of Steel and rid the Capital Wasteland of the Enclave remnants once and for all. In addition to amending the main quest to let players continue their adventures after the end of the main quest and raising the level cap to 30, Broken Steel's quest line is announced to be of the same length as the ones of Operation: Anchorage and The Pitt.[1]. In order to access the new story content from Broken Steel, the player will have to have finished the main storyline from the base game. However, the level cap expansion will take effect upon installation of the DLC, so players previously stalled at level 20 will once again accumulate XP even if they haven't finished the main storyline [2]. Broken Steel will also add a couple of new side quests, most of which have to do with escorting freshly processed clean water across the Wasteland and protecting it from Raiders. Broken Steel will take about five hours to complete and side missions could take up to an hour to finish. [2] Broken Steel alters the ending of the original Fallout 3 to allow continued play after the end of the main quest line. This means that when it is time to go into the reactor at the end of Take it Back!, you can still go in yourself or you can send one of three side characters. However, even if you go yourself, you do not die. Instead, you survive the ordeal and wake up two weeks later at the Citadel.[4] If you allow the Purifier to explode, the game will still end. The new content starts about two weeks after the events of Fallout 3's main quest and begins in the vicinity of Project Purity which is now up and running. The battle between the Brotherhood of Steel and the Enclave is still ongoing and the player is tasked with helping to build a Tesla Cannon, a new, more powerful weapon for the Brotherhood. Once you have retrieved the necessary parts from Olney Powerworks, an old power plant, and the Cannon has been built, you travel to Adams Air Force Base via the Presidential Metro Line where the assault on the Enclave begins.[3] The Tesla Cannon is a weapon that fires extremely powerful blasts of electricity, apparently capable of knocking aircraft out of the sky with one shot, balanced by a long reload time. It vaporizes enemies in a puff of smoke on contact. It is powered by Electron Charge Packs. The quest line of Broken Steel includes having to find the parts for this weapon in order to help the Brotherhood of Steel build it. The Tesla Cannon was also to be featured in the canceled Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel 2, bearing a striking resemblance to the weapon in Broken Steel. Described as a "high-powered mass-cannon throwing tessellated plasma forward in an orgy of death and destruction" in the FO:BOS2 design document, it was to be the so-called "uber-weapon" of player character Maxus. "Uber-weapons" were to be unique weapons for each PC which had to be assembled from 5 parts over the course of the game. One of the five parts for this weapon was a Tesla coil; in Broken Steel a Tesla coil is where the parts for the Tesla Cannon are found. * The Tesla Cannon has a 'shocking effect' much like Jingwei's Shocksword. After hitting an enemy with a blast from the cannon, they will be surrounded by an electrical effect for a few seconds which will cause damage. This effect almost assures one hit kills with this weapon, especially against robots. * The Tesla Cannon has a splash effect when the projectile strikes any hard surface, damaging all near impact. It is entirely possible and quite common that this weapon will strike multiple enemies (and yourself), causing damage to all.

![]() | Fallout 3 - Wasteland A music video consisting of mostly gameplay from the final battle and some special scenes I made near Megaton. The music is Wasteland by Trapt. I only found the song the day I made this. I actually just looked for a "wasteland" song, and got that. Everything was recorded by me using FRAPS. For some of the scenes I used the free camera console command (tfc), and the no clipping command (tcl), and finally, the toggle menus command (tm). |
