 | welland canal Video of the welland canal. the canal link lake erie to lake ontario, in canada. a series of 8 locks is needed to go from one lake to the other one. this canal is part of the st. lawrence seaway and is open to navigation from march to late december. 1 minute of video is 1 hour of real time, it takes about 7 to 11 hours to cross the canal depending of traffic and weather condition. the canal is parallel to the niagara falls. |
