Stream engines have to stop half way up to take on more water before climbing to the top of the northeast's tallest mountain. And at 6288 feet high, Mt. Washington was plenty cold, 15 degrees in fact. Sadly, out train was powered by a diesel, not a steamer. But it was great fun all the same. |
