Title:
Enchanting Raindrop Prelude at Château de Valogne (Fr.)
Description:
After a rainy day in August 2001 I left our caravan at the beautiful campingsite of Château de Valogne in Bourgogne (Fr.) for taking some videoshots of the many owls awaking each evening around twilight. At the front of the château I was touched by piano-music from the central hall, functioning as a kind of meeting place for the guests. I entered, and there one my fellow-guests just started to play the Raindrop Prelude of Chopin at the old but sonorous piano in the corner at the window. It turned out to be one of the most striking musical experiences I ever had. Everything was perfect. God himself seemed to be in charge for the direction: even the horse in the château's garden gave his moving contribution to the spontaneous recital just in time in the second last measure of the Prelude. Unfortunately, however I talked afterwards for a minute with the pianoplayer, I don't remember his name and where he comes from. Only that he is from the Netherlands like myself. Who is this enchanter?
