800 individually decorated and numbered rubber ducks raced through the rocks and waterfalls outside Anadarko Petroleum Corporation's headquarters in The Woodlands Thursday morning toward the finish line below. The rubber duck race was part of the company's annual United Way campaign and successfully raised more than $15,000 for the cause as employees paid $10 for each duck and the corporation matched each dollar. "Our employees really get behind our annual United Way campaign," said Bob Daniels, Sr. Vice President of Worldwide Exploration. "This was the first year for the rubber duck race, and given the generous contributions and support from our employees, we fully expect this to become an annual event." With annual contributions from employees and corporate matching dollars, Anadarko generally donates more than $1 million each year through its campaign and is one of the largest corporate donors to the United Way in the greater Houston area.
