 | The Icom 746Pro is Back As you may know, I had to send my Icom 746Pro back to Icom for servicing. Fortunately, the radio is under warranty. Icom replaced the rf predriver and resistors on the PA board and set idling currents. Would be interested in hearing from others that may have had the same issue with their 746Pro. 73. AI4QT. |
 | TheSWL :: Icom IC-7400 Portable I hooked the IC-7400 up to a 1/2 wave CB pole (1/4 wave 20m) and scanned through 20m and found quite a lot of strong stations. I was using a battery to power the radio but it went flat (forgot to charge) and so I had to use the noisy CB PSU. |

 | Repairing Backlight PSU LG1950 A friend gave me a non-functional LG1950 monitor that would turn off after a few seconds. Cycling the power on and off brought it back briefly. So he replaced his old screen and no longer wanted this one. I decided to have a go at repairing it, it was so easy I decided to share it with you. |
