In 1987 West Midlands Travel abandoned it's bus route in Palfrey, Walsall so as to put extra buses against Midland Red North's minibus operation. Midland Red North diverted one of it's routes to serve Palfrey, then eventually closed it's Walsall operation down. Metrorider refuels with passengers on board, 1987 Walsall
Although carying West Midlands Travel livery this MCW Metrrider was actually being operated by it's subsidiary Central Coachways Ltd. As Central Coachways did not have refuelling facilities at it's garage it's minibuses had to refuel at Key Fuels, just off route 330 as seen in this video.
