Mom hunts for killer A Brockton woman seeks help finding murderer of her 16-year-old daughter By Maureen Boyle ENTERPRISE STAFF WRITER BROCKTON — The day after burying her 16-year-old daughter, Stephanie Matiyosus hit the streets to find who killed her only child. She went from telephone pole to telephone pole, tacking up flyers with her daughters photograph, pleading with people to come forward with information. Help me. I was murdered, one flyer read. Speak for me, reads another. So far, Matiyosus has put up more than 2,500 flyers. She plans to put up thousands more. Im not going to stop being in the street every day... putting up flyers until we find who did this to her, Matiyosus said. Her daughter, Chantel LaMay Matiyosus, was shot to death on Addison Avenue April 25 as a baby shower was winding down at a Brockton home. Two other teens were wounded in the attack when at least one gunman opened fired on the group. The other teens, aged 15 and 14, were treated and later released from the hospital. Investigators have interviewed a number of people but, two weeks after the shooting, no arrests have been made.
