From there, Judd introduces Secretary Albright to the organization Population Services International, for which she serves as global ambassador, to discuss its mission to combat malaria and infant mortality in developing countries. After being unanimously confirmed by the United States Senate, she was sworn in as the 64th Secretary of State on January 23, 1997. Albright was the first female Secretary of State. |
