Fort Dorchester game winning field goal vs Goose Creek

Description:
This is a video of Fort Dorchester kicker Chris Kifer nailing a 44 yard field goal to beat the disgustingly uniformed Goose Creek Gators in the 2007 playoffs. The Fort Dorchester Patriots came back from a 14 point deficit at halftime against this pathetic team to win 24-21. The matchup was set as the 10th seeded Patriots had to face off against the 7th seeded Gators. The Patriots came in as underdogs even though they dismantled the Gators in week 1 of the season. This meant that the Patriots had to travel to Goose Creek, and a stadium appropriately named "The Swamp". The trip to Goose Creek was horrific enough, leaving the civilized North Charleston area to Goose Creek was indeed disturbing. Having to dodge and weave all over the pot marked road, and trying to avoid the stumbling drunk natives walking along the cracked sidewalks was quite a feat, but the worst was yet to come. After riding the bus through the burnt out and depleted city of Goose Creek, passing by the bingo halls, adult video stores and low income housing developments that dot the landscape they arrived at the decaying school and stadium. Parking was nearly impossible because of the lack of paved parking lots and scattered liquor bottles, but somehow the patriots managed to secure a spot. Apon arriving at "The Swamp" it was worth noting that the field was muddy, uneven, and full of gouges and gashes, but this was not unexpected, as "The Swamp" had been that way since before Fort Dorchester even was built. The Game started well for the Gators, who used a gritty, dirty style of play against the Patriots (this style of football suits Goose Creek players well, because most of the people in Goose Creek live lives that are in fact dirty and gritty). This nocked the Patriots off course and allowed Goose Creek to have a 21-7 lead at halftime. Natures course soon set in by the 3rd quarter, and Fort Dorchesters superior athleticism, brains and overall life skills allowed them to essentially bitch slap the gators in their own yard. With 1 minute left in the 3rd quarter senior runningback Dwayne Scales scored on a 1 yard touchdown plunge for the Patriots...trampling over the outmatched and unskilled Goose Creek defenders and making them look like lost children on the football field. It seemed as though the Gators couldnt handle the smashmouth football the Patriots are so known for, but they would soon get a dose of speed and ellusiveness as quarterback Galen Bennett dodged and weaved for an 8 yard touchdown..his juking ability was so intense, that the entire defense, and most of the sideline and fans of Goose Creek all fell down in a heap of frustration and confusion, it was quite a sight to see. With the game tied at 21 the momentum was all on the side of the brave Patriots. After stopping the pathetic and unqualified Gator quarterback on 4th and 4 the patriots had a chance to take the game into their hands. After a long screen pass and a long drive the patriots had the ball at the 26 yard line and a chance for senior kicker Chris Kifer to try a 44 yard field goal. The rest as they say, is history. Chris Kifer did indeed nail the 44 yarder, leaving 30 seconds on the clock. Goose Creek made a run and had the opportunity to tie with a 45 field goal of their own, but the horrendous Goose Creek kicker did not have the clutch kicking ability that was displayed so eloquently. The Patriots went on to win the game and end the pathetic season for the Goose Creek Gators, the most unathletic and unskilled team in the lowcountry. Before the game there had been a lot of talk that the Gators would beat the Patriots, this was due to the fact that the Patriots were without the services of star defensive end Robert "Superman" Quinn. This did not phase the Patriots however, as sophmore phenom Geno Porter led the team with 14 tackles and 1 sack. Goose Creek fans would later say the Patriots were "unlcassy" but this was just an expression of rage and jealousy. Probably the worst part about the whole situation for the Gators is that most of the team was seniors, and this was considered the best Goose Creek team in over 15 years...this fact made the win especially delicious for Fort...the fact that the Patriots handled them twice in 2007 and ended the season for them is something that Goose Creek fans should not be surprised by. The Patriots have made a trend of destroying Goose Creek in recent years..so it really should be no surprise for the ignorant, assinine and trash fans that support Goose Creek Football. comment and enjoy!
