Mt Lassen Peak Hail Storm
Roong and John get caught in a hail storm while climbing Mt Lassen Peak. At 9500ft elevation we get hit by a hard hail storm. We try to hide under a nearby rock, but decide its best to make our way down the mountain. Yikes! Those little hail balls hurt!!!

Upper Sulfur Works, Lassen Volcanic Park
The is an off trail site at Mount Lassen Volcanic Park. This is a fumarole with lots of brightly colored bio films. I went to this on a trip with The HEAT (Humboldt Extreme Acidophile Team).
Lassen Peak 2008
Jenn and I climb to the top of Lassen Peak in a snowstorm and ski down. The roads were re-opened right before we arrived due to snowfall. California fresh powder on Memorial Day Weekend, May 25th, 2008.
