NOTE: The Valiant Soldier has now closed for the winter Visit : www.valiantsoldier.org.uk for further details. The Valiant Soldier is an old working mans pub that closed in 1965. The building and contents have been carefully preserved to museum standards. It is now open to the public. The VS is also used as a film and television set, and occasionally hosts paranormal investigation events. It is believed to be haunted by a woman from the 19th Century called Mary, who seems to like collapsing roller blinds, popping out light bulbs, and corrupting SFX devices.
