Kevin Rudd - The Big Climate Change Question
Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd interviewed by Kerry O'Brien. Professor Ross Garnaut has released a draft report calling for an emissions trading scheme in Australia to stop global warming caused by carbon dioxide (CO2) from coal and other fossil fuel burning power stations; emissions from cars, trucks and other transportation run on petrol; deforestation; and of course 18% of the total amount of greenhouse gases comes from animal agriculture, that includes methane from livestock animals farmed for the food eaten by people who aren't vegetarian or vegan yet. Can Kevin Rudd do better than opposition leader Brendan Nelson, who gets his policies from shop-a-dockets, and be able to come up with some real solutions and make the tough decisions to help the environment before it's too late and we run out of time?
