Amtrak train #41 The Broadway Limited to Chicago is seen making a station stop in Lewistown Pa. Notice the introduction of Amfleet to the consist. On the rear behind the diner are a slumbercoach and 2 sleepers. This was a real passenger train compared with today's versions.

A giant bag of Hartley's potato chips (a local favorite) is dropped from a fire truck in Lewistown, PA. Around three hundred people attended the event in seventeen degree weather. Fireworks followed the drop.

Here's a runby of a pair of switchers (I believe sw1500's) coming up from Irondale and Norris yard, toward downtown Birmingham, Al. Note the locos have Southern paint.
Amtrak Engine 85 on the Sunset Limited
85 is newly overhauled, in fresh paint, and with the modified headlight style (no lens cap) as it crosses Louisiana in February 2008 en route to Los Angeles. The former funky font 85 side numbers are also history, and the font on 85 is now "normal." What are those children thinking??
