 | Wind Farm Developers Stealing Your Land Wind Farm developer in Jo Daviess County is allowed by the Jo Daviess County board to steal land from near by residences. These developers are after your tax money and your private property. Safety setbacks overlap my property.The safety setbacks are there in case of blades coming apart,flinging ice,tower collapse,noise ect...I can no longer safely occupy my own property within the setbacks!There has been talk about eliminating turbine #1,but I have received no plans or information about construction changes from the developer.This is the plan he sent me through registered mail when the project was first made public.This is what the developer wants to do to my property.We were good neighbors before I saw these plans.I didn't think this could happen in America.I thought the county board/zoning board was "used to prevent neighboring uses from creating noise,odor,glare or other nuisances that could affect the quiet enjoyment of your property".That quote was out of the Jo Daviess County Building and zoning product/service information brochure.Here is another:"without zoning a neighboring landowner could develop an asphalt plant or junkyard adjacent to your home".Oh no!Not a Junkyard..lol.Well,so far 400ft tall 106db loud turbine have been approved behind my home and Illinois largest mega factory farm with 67 acres of manure holding ponds is being put in front of my home.A junk yard would be welcome at this point. So much for the county board protecting your property.The county board is nothing more than a tool to collect revenue for the county.They will simply ignore their own rules and force you to seek legal action to regain your property rights.Thanks for nothing JDC board.Thanks for letting big wind steal my life's savings. |

This waste will be held in about 70 acres of open manure lagoons. These Mega Farms are coming to the mid west from California mostly due to CA tightening up EPA regulations and increasing fines.The mid west is lagging behind and they are taking advantage of this situation. They could be planning to construct in your area right now! Stop them before they get their foot in the door.Just make a quick easy call to the Governor. You dont have to ask for anyone.Just say the following: · Call the Office of the Governor (217-782-0244 or 312-814-2121), say you are calling to register a public comment, and state that you want Governor Blagojevich to know you are in opposition to the Jo Daviess County CAFO.
